Design Thinking and Social Entrepreneurship School Program Kicks Off

An innovative new design thinking and social entrepreneurship education program has kicked off today at Pimpama State Secondary School.

The Jump Start program is structured over a 12 week intensive learning period, which takes students on a journey of deep discovery. Students learn skills and tools which will benefit themselves and the community both now and into the future.

Designed and Lead by Design Strategist and Educator Tom Allen of Seven Positive, the program will provide 14 Queensland high school students with the opportunity to engage with the local community and partners to create innovative solutions to waste which benefit the wider community.

The program was successful in receiving (Artist in Residence) funding from Arts Queensland. Participating students will be armed with valuable design, business and leadership skills and the drive to identify problems and respond with opportunities which create positive futures.

The blog will document student progress and learnings as the program progresses.
